New Schedule

I'm so excited I just had to share this with everyone...

I have a new work schedule... NO more Saturdays!!! YAY!!

I've worked most Saturdays for the last four years so this is very exciting for me. They have hired an x-ray student to take my place on Saturdays!! She is at the same school I went to and has had the same clinical sites and instructors that I had, so I know she has to be good ;) She seems super sweet and I really hope it works out. I get to train her next week and then I don't have to work anymore Saturdays unless she has to be out!!

All of my patience and hard work is finally starting to pay off.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Metamorphosis

Kyle and I helped plan a "Metamorphosis" weekend for our youth group at church. When I was in the youth group we did this weekend every fall and I absolutely loved it!! So... I thought I would suggest it to our current Youth Pastor and he liked the idea. Basically what happens is the students break up into smaller groups and spend the weekend at a church member's house and have bible study with a leader and then do group activities on Saturday with the whole youth group. It was quite a different experience actually doing the planning and organizing instead of just showing up and having fun. It was totally worth all the work and very few hours of sleep this weekend though. My parents agreed to house the middle school girls for the weekend so I'm sure my Dad had a blast listening to all the talking. Saturday was blazing hot and humid in the lovely NC and Kyle and I spent about 5 hours outside in the heat setting up our activities and hanging out with the students. We had a Mega Relay... girls vs. boys which was awesome! Being my way too competitive self I took the girls team into my own hands and started yelling out commands and trying to motivate the super tired and unfocused teenage girls...anyways, it was super fun. It was one of those activities that requires a LOT of work but is totally worth every second when you see the students grow in the Lord and bond with each other. Praise God it's over though. :)

On a side note... most people who know me realize that football is not my favorite sport. I have my favorite team (Colts... ok I actually just like Peyton Manning) and I can watch it, I'm just not that in love with watching it 24/7. However, I had my first intelligent football conversation with someone the other day. I was so proud of myself that I had to come home and tell Kyle all about it, he was quite proud too. One of the drug reps at work had a Notre Dame pin on his jacket so I asked him about it. (since they were playing Michigan this weekend). Anyways, it lead into a whole 10 minute conversation about football and the rest of the office staff staring at me like I was crazy. I then had to explain that the only reason I knew all this football info was because my crazy husband watches ESPN ALL the time, literally, ALL the time. To make a long story short, I am now somewhat educated in the ways of football, thanks to Kyle Fescoe. (I would still prefer baseball or hockey, but football is kinda cool too)

I hope everyone else had an awesome weekend! I am off to watch yet another football game and rest my tired feet!!

Labor Day

For the long weekend Kyle and I decided to take a trip to Jacksonville to see his family. We had such a nice trip. We got to watch Chad play in a great soccer game, we visited the NC Aquarium and played putt-putt at Golfin' Dolphin. We also watched some football, played some Wii and Chad and I made a zoo on Zoo Tycoon. And of course we got some amazing home cooked meals like always :)
