New Job!

The last couple of weeks have been super busy! In school we are studying our tails off for our national radiologic technology boards. I will take mine on May 16 at 9am, your prayers are greatly needed. This is an extremely hard exam and I'm already stressed about it.

BUT some good news is that I GOT A JOB!! I will be working at a medical center about 15min from my house which is awesome. I will be taking x-rays and working in the lab when they need me. It's only 20 hours a week which is perfect and they will totally work with me when I need days off for studying or whatever. I'm very excited and I get to start orientation tomorrow!! Everybody there that I've met (including 2 doctors) are super nice too! I'm going to enjoy the freedom of working alone, unsupervised and under a regular doctor verses getting fussed at by radiologists everyday. I think I'm going to like the change and being away from the hospital for a while. No ER patients, no OR cases, no fluoroscopy (which means I will be getting a whole lot LESS radiation exposure). I think this will be good for me and I definitely need the money. I'm glad they are hiring me before I even graduate, most places don't. Anyways, I hope everyone else is having a great week!

Wedding update

Spring break is over and school begins again, however….. I only have 7 more weeks of school until I graduate!! Whoo hoo!! I'm super excited.

The wedding planning is coming along fairly well. My Mom and I went cake tasting the other day and I found the perfect cake. It's soooo pretty!! We got one estimate which was around $1,ooo. So basically that means we are going to look around and try to find a better deal J Well that's pretty much it right now!

Have a great week everybody!!

Spring Break

It's finally spring break for me! =) However, there is a To Do List

TO DO:
- schedule a date and time to take the radiography national board exam
- study for a test the first day back
- organize review notebook
- clean room
- catch up on laundry
- call wedding photographers/dj's/bakeries and schedule appointments
- run at least 3 days
- possibly make a trip to Atlanta to see my cousin's new baby boy :)
- go to the BEACH with Kyle :)

We'll see how much of that actually gets done, ha!

Have a great week everybody!

Update

Well the training for the race is still going steady. I'm officially signed up and am now committed, haha. I ran 2 miles today after taking like 5 days off, not good. I was hurting pretty bad but I just kept telling myself that Jesus was in more pain when he was dying on the cross and that if he could do that, I could run 2 miles, hehe. My time is improving too which is a plus! :)

For the wedding planning... it's coming along slowly. I have some more names and numbers of florists, photographers, etc to call so I will eventually get to that. Kyle and I are trying to get a decent picture to put on some save-the-date magnets which everyone will receive eventually. Yeah... I'm obviously not in a rush here, school is still kicking my butt right now. It will all get done though. And it will be beautiful! I hope everyone else is having a great week!!
